Tantric is an American post-grunge rock band from Louisville, Kentucky:

Formation: The band was formed in 1998 by former Days of the New members Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest, and Matt Taul, along with vocalist Hugo Ferreira. Ferreira is the only remaining original member.

Debut: The band's self-titled debut album was released in 2001 and went platinum. The single "Breakdown" was a #1 hit.

Tours: Tantric has toured with artists such as Kid Rock and Creed.

Latest release: The band's eighth full-length album, The Sum of All Things, was released in 2021.

Band name: The band was originally called Carbon 14 (C-14), but was renamed Tantric after the band members decided that bands with numbers in their names were over. The name is a reference to Buddhist sexual practices.
