San Angelo's A Star-Spangled Banner Concert and FireworksSAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo LIVE! and Downtown San Angelo, Inc. are teaming up once again to present the 5th Annual "A Star-Spangled Banner Concert and Fireworks" on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Bill Aylor Jr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A in downtown San Angelo. The centerpiece of the celebration is a rousing performance by the San Angelo Community Band, a local ensemble made up of area musicians. The concert will culminate in the dramatic finale of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, synchronized with a massive fireworks display and authentic cannon fire from Fort Concho's artillery stationed across the Concho River. This year's fireworks show promises to be the biggest and best yet, engineered and choreographed by pyrotechnics expert Greg "Fly" Schatt, a familiar name from two decades of explosive shows at the San Angelo Rodeo. The fireworks will begin approximately 45 minutes after sunset, around 9:35 p.m., following a cannon blast from Fort Concho that signals the start of the 1812 Overture.
