Jeska Bailey Forsyth: Texas Musician Shines in Austin and Beyond

Texas native Jeska Bailey Forsythe is a dynamic force in the Austin music scene, celebrated for her "honeyed, soulful vocals" (Glide Magazine) and commanding stage presence. Described as a "gifted vocalist" (Austin Monthly), Jeska has made her mark performing with the Guy Forsyth Band, the Hot Nut Riveters, and the Honeysuckle Rage Riders, while carving out a stellar solo career.

Her debut solo album, Murderino (2023), is a captivating blues-folk exploration of true crime, feminism, and power dynamics, earning critical acclaim for its riveting storytelling and musical depth.

A multi-instrumentalist and classically trained singer, Jeska's versatility extends beyond music. She's a professional photographer, painter, and fierce blues performer with a rich creative portfolio. Her talents have landed her on Austin's "50th Anniversary of Woodstock" radio program, as executive director and lead anchor for ATXM NEWS, as the female host of Up Late Austin, and performing the national anthem on ESPN at Texas Motor Speedway.

Her 2019 album, Conspirators, was praised for its "beautiful vocals" and "shining harmonies," captivating audiences during her global tour. Jeska's passion for community and her work as a model/photographer have cultivated a dedicated following of over 50,000 on Instagram, and she's poised to transform those followers into devoted music fans.

A four-time cancer survivor, Jeska used the pandemic to fuel her creativity, writing, recording, and mentoring other artists in navigating the virtual world. She lives in Buda with her partner, fellow musician Guy Forsyth, and their blended family.

With roots in San Angelo, where she performed in the local bar scene and managed Sealy Flats (now Stango's Pizza), Jeska even built the stage still in use there. She's set to return to San Angelo for a full-band performance this summer, promising an unforgettable show.
