Ronnie and The Redwoods, a West Texas Americana/Rock band, blend heartfelt lyrics with the soulful sounds of blues, folk, and country, shaped by the vast high plains. Their music, raw and authentic, draws inspiration from The White Stripes, Tyler Childers, John Prine, and the vibrant Red Dirt scene, creating a unique fusion of Folk, Country, Rock 'n' Roll, and Grunge. With tours across 37 states and hundreds of performances, the band has shared stages with acts like The Vandoliers, Kenny Feidler and the Cowboy Killers, Shane Smith and the Saints, Giovannie and the Hired Guns, Red Shahan, The Droptines, Kellen Smith, The Lowdown Drifters, American Aquarium, Rattlesnake Milk, and Bowling for Soup. According to HiCo Hall (https://hicohall.com/), Ronnie Rowe's journey began eight years ago when he moved to Lubbock and immersed himself in the local music scene. It all started at Blue Light, a legendary Texas Country music venue, where open mic nights sparked his path. “I ended up getting a job there working the front door with my bassist, and we decided to start a band," Ronnie recalls. From chance encounters at Blue Light to connections forged through a professor at South Plains College, Ronnie and The Redwoods' story is one of fate, friendship, and a deep love for music. “We stay true to our roots but add our own flair," Ronnie says. Their dynamic performances reflect a songwriting journey that spans from Ronnie's early days at 19 years old to the present. “These songs show how I've grown over the years. I always want to evolve, and my music should too-otherwise, it risks becoming stale." Join Ronnie and The Redwoods at the Arc Light Bar & Grill inside the Clarion Hotel, 441 Rio Concho Dr., for an unforgettable night of soul-stirring music that captures the spirit of West Texas. |
