Well established in their hometown of Houston, TX, Bayou City Funk is generating a buzz in the regional Gulf Coast music scene as one of the best live bands in the genre. The group delivers deep-pocket grooves accompanied by lightning-fast horns and soulful, yet gritty, vocals. While "funk" is in the name, the band strives to push the boundaries of the genre with their original music. Blending in modern twists while still doing justice to covers from Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown and the like, their high energy performances are always a party you won't want to miss.
