Kerosene Stars is an American power-pop/indie rock outfit formed in Chicago in 2010. The band, lead by singer-songwriter and bassist Scott Schaafsma, has appeared live in multiple cities around the globe, and as of 2023 performs locally in both Houston and Chicago as two separate bands. The Chicago Reader described KS as "Smart unpretentious Beatles-loving group with a sure hand for hooks… It's perfect pop". Joining KS are loal garage rockers The Hot and Heavies and Houston based Brays Bayou Swim Club.
