Halloween at Dans is always crazy special and weird which is the perfect Halloween combo! Costume contests with prizes with multiple categories and food in the backyard you can have it all. Its also our annual Sunset heights bar crawl, so hop on the bus and visit all the bars in Sunset heights. Stay safe, have fun and come get weird with us at Dan electros where we have a puppet band and b-52 tribute band that is cuter than the original band!

Mock Lobster is an Austin-based band founded in 2016 by drummer Matt Patterson. The idea for the band came from two motivations for Matt: as an experiment to see if he was comfortable taking on a bandleader role, and because he thought it would be great fun to play B-52s songs for audiences. Realizing that the Austin music scene didn't already have a B-52s tribute band, Matt went to work immediately. Placing an ad in Craigslist, he received enthusiastic responses from guitarist Trey Buchanan and frontman/"Fred" Corbin Superion in short order.

After completing the lineup with bass guitar and singers in the "Kate" and "Cindy" roles, Mock Lobster played their first show in 2017, opening up for the excellent Talking Heads/David Byrne tribute HeartByrne at the legendary Threadgill's in Austin. Mock Lobster has since played venues such as The Granada Theater (Dallas TX), Haute Spot (Austin TX), and The Festival at the Switchyard (Carrollton TX). They have toured extensively throughout the state of Texas, playing to packed houses and garnering a loyal following.

Mock Lobster continues to perfect the nuanced sounds of the B-52s. Their catchy melodies, intricate instrumentation, and energetic live performances have made them a favorite among venue bookers and promoters. Fragile Rock is an Austin-based Fragile Rock has been cAustin-based Fragile Rock is the world's only emo puppet band. They have been called "the perfect festival act" by Variety and has both headlined their own NPR Tiny Desk Concert and get booed off the stage at America's Got Talent. Imagine Fugazi and the Muppets having a nervous breakdown together and you've got Fragile Rock. The 8-piece collective of punks and puppets was created in 2014 by writer and musician Brently Heilbron and is a 6-time featured artist at SXSW. They just released their new album Microfamous and their live shows are deeply felt.
